The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 6,800 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 11 years to get that many views.
So, did you take the time to compile this information and set up this display, or is this a template that is available to all WordPress bloggers? It’s fun to look at—but I was having a hard time imagining that you have so much free time that you would have done this all on your own. (Just mildly curious.)

Yes, I whipped this up all by myself in 20 minutes. No, in truth I simply clicked the “post this” button that was provided. But someone somewhere did a nice job to autocompile all these stats and package it up like this. I’ve been pretty impressed with the WordPress tools and features. There’s lots that I don’t utilize, mostly because I really DON’T have time to figure them out and take advantage of them.
